On Friday 16 July, 8.45am at Southcrest Manor Hotel, Redditch, B97 4JS, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce are delivering a FREE business awareness workshop to make local companies aware of the business opportunities connected to the 2012 Olympics.
Whatever the nature or size of your business, winning custom and achieving success in a competitive marketplace is vital. The forthcoming 2012 Olympic Games have already created a huge range of opportunities for West Midlands businesses to supply goods and services, with a number of Worcestershire businesses already securing contracts.
The workshop is a collaboration between Business Link West Midlands and Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and funded by Advantage West Midlands, to provide information and advice on how you can gain access to these opportunities and grow your business.
Nicky Griffiths, Director of Business Development at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, said: “It isn’t just about big businesses, many of the contracts will be tendered over the next two years and smaller companies have been winning contracts across the UK. It is hard to imagine the breadth of products and services that are required in order to fulfil the vision for the 2012 Olympic Games. It’s important that businesses know how to register, how to access support and how to maximise their chances of tendering success. Tendering sounds very onerous, however much of the work is done when a business registers their interest and there is much support to help businesses win those all important contracts.”
