The Chamber of Commerce Herefordshire and Worcestershire is part of the Confederation of West Midlands Chambers, which represents over 13,500 businesses.
Confederation of West Midlands Chambers
The aim of the Confederation is to enhance the collaborative working of the seven Chambers of Commerce in the West Midlands and to provide a comprehensive, powerful and influential voice for businesses in the region at a regional, national and European level.
The Confederation brings together the following chambers of commerce: Birmingham and Solihull, the Black Country, Coventry and Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, North Staffordshire, Shropshire, and Southern Staffordshire. Our collective strength is based on grass roots links to businesses in towns, cities and rural areas across the region. We are business owned and business led. Regional Government and Agencies
The Chamber has regular dialogue with regional bodies, including Advantage West Midlands, Government Office for the West Midlands to ensure that Herefordshire and Worcestershire gain funding and resource to address the needs of the business community.
Publications & Reviews
Government Review of Regional Economic Development
The government is reviewing the way policies to promote economic development and regeneration are carried out in the regions and are considering reforming the regional structures that help carry them out. An outline of the propsed changes can be seen here.
Following consultations with members, the Chamber has made a response to the consultation directly and through the british Chambers of Commerce. The response can be seen here.
