Title: Aylestone facing future challenges - Mock Interview Days
Date: November 2010
Aylestone Business and Enterprise College held a mock interview day for all of their current Year 11 students on Thursday 25 November. They worked with a range of local businesses who gave up their time to put the students through their paces. Students wore business dress for the day, and had applied for a number of different jobs. They produced CV’s and answered questions to look at their skills, knowledge and attitudes. Students found the process nerve wracking but found the feedback they received really useful in terms of their career aspirations.
Comments from the interviewers focused on the positive attributes, with interviewers offering jobs to the pupils there and then on the basis of their excellent performance. a number of students were singled out as being exemplary in all areas, so the future for these pupils is looking bright.
If you would be willing to act as an interviewer in the future, please contact adamn@hwchamber.co.uk
