UK Trade & Investment activity at Sustainability Live!

On 22 May in Piazza Suite 5, 14:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs at the NEC, Birmingham, UK Trade & Investment are reporting on trade and investment opportunities in The Netherlands, Portugal, Brazil, Sub-Saharan Africa and Libya.

On 23 May in Piazza Suites 1, 2 and 3 an opportunity to meet with up to 40 International buyers and 11 UK Commercial Officers on a one to one basis

Meet International Buyers

Are you looking to export goods and services and meet international buyers?

Do you want to develop your international trade activity?

UK companies will be given access to up to 40 international buyers keen to procure on a diverse range of products and services.

Buyers and key decision makers from Brazil, India, China, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Libya, The Netherlands, Portugal, Turkey, USA.

Organised and supported by UK Trade & Investment, and the International Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC), the introductory meetings will give you the chance to discuss business opportunities in overseas markets with a view to increasing your export sales.

The event will take place in the format of one to one meetings, which will last 20 minutes each and will take place in Piazza Suites 1, 2 and 3 which are located in the Piazza area of the NEC (opposite Wetherspoons and Subway). There will be no charge for UK companies to engage in this introductory service.

Meet a Trade & Investment expert:

Trade & Investment Officers, based in overseas Embassies and Consulates, offer first hand knowledge and experience of overseas markets to UK companies looking to sell their products overseas.

Trade & Investment Officers will also be available for one to one meetings on the 23rd May - this is your opportunity to gain an insight into these markets.

The UKTI team in Madrid, UKTI West Midlands Health & Wellbeing Sector under the WM ERDF SME Internationalization programme, together with the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (FENIN) is organising a one day seminar on “Innovation in Assisted Living Technologies” in the British Embassy in Madrid on the 12th June 2012.
This seminar will give British companies the chance to present their products and services to a targeted audience which will include distributors, manufacturers, medical experts and representatives from local and regional government. The principle objective of the seminar will be for British companies to learn about this sector in Spain and identify opportunities to collaborate with Spanish organisations.

As part of the development of the BCC's international trade strategy we will be holding the first BCC International Trade Conference on the 24th October 2012 in London. I am writing with further details on this and I have also attached a “save the date” for you to pass to members who may be interested in attending.

Aim of the conference

The conference will bring together high growth exporters from around the Chamber network to provide them with practical advice, insight and connections as they build their global businesses. In addition the day will help strengthen the Chamber network brand as a leading source of international trade advice and assistance.

The conference will cover key themes such as:

• Utilising technology for export growth
• Financing your international expansion
• Building a global business, what does it take to be successful?

Overseas Chambers and Trade organisations

Throughout the day 'clinic' sessions will be run with international Chambers, trade organisations and others involved in international trade delivery. This will enable your members to get practical support and advice about entering new markets.
