Our Service

As a leader/owner of a business, your people can be both your greatest asset but also your biggest challenge.  What is often lacking is the confidence to change HR practice and to face up to issues you know need addressing.  Both may stem from a fear of the consequences if things go wrong and just not knowing how to proceed.  This is where HR in Action’s service comes in.
 
Our purpose is  to get the thinking and practice in place which will enable you to make the most of the people you have, create a workplace which people want to be part of and to enable you to achieve success through your people.  When difficult decisions are to be made about poor performance, you need to reduce staff costs or you are concerned about health and safety, our service is there to support you.
 
HR in Action complements the telephone HR provision and recruitment service available to Chamber members.  The difference is that we provide professionals to discuss your opportunities and issues with you face to face.  A friendly, approachable and knowledgeable person who aims to keep the jargon to the minimum and help you reach an effective solution.
Who we are? The HR in Action service is provided by a network of human resource professionals, all qualified members of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or other relevant body and, like you, members of the Chamber. Each one of us covers a range of specialist areas which means that between us a comprehensive service is provided. We have all been through a quality assurance process to join the network, work to professional standards and have professional indemnity insurance.
